Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP pipes) are high-pressure plastic composite pipes that feature excellent flexibility, corrosion resistance, high pressure resistance, impact resistance, abrasion resistance, light weight, easy connection, coiling capability, and rapid long-distance joint-free installation. They can effectively overcome the corrosion problems of steel pipes and the pressure resistance issues of plastic pipes. They can be used in oil and natural gas extraction, high-pressure long-distance natural gas transportation, and various pipeline fields requiring high-pressure medium transportation.
RTP pipe structure and materials
RTP products typically consist of three layers. The inner and outer layers are made of PE80 or PE100 or higher. The outer layer can be white (for surface installation with UV protection) or black (for underground installation), depending on the application. The middle layer is a reinforced tape made of a composite reinforcement material. The reinforcement material can be high-strength fibers such as aramid fiber, polyester fiber, or glass fiber.

Flexible reinforced thermoplastic composite pipes (RTP pipes)are typically made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) grade 80 or higher, high-strength fibers, or steel wire ropes. Through extrusion, molding, winding, coating, and coiling processes, high-pressure flexible pipes can be produced in lengths of up to a thousand meters. By using different reinforcement and coating materials, RTP pipes with varying pressure ratings and performance can be produced.
