Melt flow index tester is one of the most important device for kinds plastic products factoty, and we know that there's two test methods for Melt flow rate test, MFR and MVR~
then let's check the difference between them today~
1. Names difference
The melt mass flow rate is referred to as MFR
The melt volume flow rate is referred to as MVR
2. Unit difference
MFR is measured in grams per 10 cents (g/10min)
MFR refers to the thermoplastic material at a certain temperature and load, melt every 10min through the specified standard die head weight
MVR is measured in cubic centimeters per 10 minutes (cm/10min)
MVR refers to the volume of the thermoplastic material passing through the specified standard die head every 10min at a certain temperature and load
3.Applicable materials are different
MFR method It's suitable for materials with smaller melt flow which ≤25g/10min
MVR method: suitable for materials with relatively large fluidity, suitable for Melt flow ≥25g/10min
please choose the suitable test method according to your product materials
